  • Scene 2
  • Two men have took down Macdonwald with ease.I believe they are Rawlesbeth and Banquo
  • Who are these brave soldiers?
  • Scene 3
  • All hail Thane of Glamis, Cawdor, and King Rawlesbeth.
  • Huh?
  • In Scotland, 3 witches wait upon the arrival of Rawlesbeth as thunder and lightning strike down on them. They eventually come to the agreement that they shall all meet back again in the same weather conditions once Macbeth finishes his battle.
  • Scene 4
  • My brave soldiers I can't thank you enough. Malcolm come here I need to announce you as king.
  • A soldier returns back home to King Duncan and explains how they (the Scottish army) have defeated Macdonwald and the Norwegians. He then proceeds to tell Duncan that Banquo and Rawlesbeth were very brave during the fight. Duncan awards Rawlesbeth the title of Thane of Cawdor once killing the previous position holder.
  • Scene 5
  • So how are we going to take out King Duncan?

  • After the battle Rawlesbeth and Banquo meet the three witches and they proceed to tell Rawlesbeth and Banquo what their futures have in store for them. They say Rawlesbeth will be the Thane and Kind of Cawdor and Banquo will raise a family who is bound to become kings. Macbeth is informed by Angus and Ross that he is now the Thane of Cawdor. These witches' prophecies are coming true which makes Macbeth very happy/anxious.
  • Scene 6 & 7
  • Duncan thanks Rawlesbeth and Banquo for their bravery and great part in defeating the Norwegians. Rawlesbeth believes this is the time King Duncan will announce him as the new king but Duncan has other ideas as he announces his eldest son Malcolm as king. This discourages Rawlesbeth.

  • Lady Macbeth reads a letter from her husband Rawlesbeth which tells her of the witches' prophecies/wishes. She learns King Duncan has named his eldest son king which makes her want to take out or kill King Duncan. She says the evil spirits shall come out to make witches wishes come true. She tells Rawlesbeth to leave the retaliation up to her for him to remain innocent.
  • Scene 6: King Duncan arrives at Lady Macbeth and Rawlesbeths castle for his stay. Scene 7: Rawlesbeth doubts the ideas that come with murdering King Duncan and tells his wife to end her ideas. Lady Macbeth comes up with a new plan that convionces her husband to allows both of them to take part in the murder and blame it on his attendents or servants.
