It is a perfectly sunny day and the narrator walks down a road. He finds an old man when walking by and is told that when the next storm comes, so will the bad luck. The narrator does not believe this and continues his day.
The narrator almost gets home but as he walks over a bridge it starts to rain and the sun disappears behind clouds. Next comes the wind and light, the rain begins to pick up.
As the narrator gets closer to his home he starts to run to avoid the rain. As he gets inside the rain gets harder until it starts to flood the land around him.
After the third hour of rain, his house has started to flood and the land around him looks like a lake and he is in the middle of it. The rain comes harder and shows no sign of letting up and doesn't. As his house starts to fill up with water, now waist deep, he starts to belive the old man and what he said about bad luck
The man's house gets more water in it and the rain does not stop. The man thinks that he sees the old man he saw earlier outside his door. He please to the man to help him, but the man just leaves him inside his flooding house.
The man ends up getting his house flooding out and he ends up getting drowned in his own house. Later the old man comes and sees what has happen and looks at the man and say, "I told you only bad luck comes with storms.". The man walks out and as he left so did all of the water. Left there was just the man's lifeless body in his house all by itself.
