A griffin once lived in the Dreadful Wilds and wished to see his likeness. He hears of a stone sculpture in a nearby town and he decides to go pay it a visit.
The Griffin reaches the village and the townspeople send the Minor Canon to talk to the beast. The other villagers run in their homes and hide.
The Griffin sees his stone counterpart for the first time and gawks at it for hours on end. The villagers become angry and terrified as the beast has been looming over them for days. The griffin also takes a liking towards the minor canon.
You people are terrible!
In an attempt to lure the beast away the people exile the Minor Canon to the dreadful wilds in hope that the griffin would go searching for him. This instead has an almost opposite effect.
The Griffin takes on the Minor Canon's responsibilities and starts teaching the students at the school. The students begin to behave and pay attention out of fear for the Griffin's punishments.
The Griffin hears of what the villagers did to the Minor Canon and hes furious! He lashes out on the towns folk and lets them know how much he despises them. He goes out to look for the Minor Canon and makes the people swear to treat him like a king when he is brought back.
