- Methanol fuel is an alternative biofuel for internal combustion and other engines in combination with gasoline.It produces methyl tertiary butyl ethane (MTBE), a gasoline component that improves air quality, and dimethyl ether (DME), a clean-burning fuel which can be blended into liquified petroleum gas (LPG) or used as a diesel substitute.

- Ohhh, now I remember! Ms. Sally taught us last week. I forgot about it hehe...
- The functional groups are methyl group and hydroxyl group.
- It doesn't have chiral carbon because there are no different atoms or groups bonded to it.
- A chiral carbon is an sp3 hybridised carbon atom with four different atoms or groups bonded to it.
- Wan and I are going to draw molecular structure of the methanol as expanded and condensed structures.
