Isreal is a young boy in Poland. Isreal does not like school. Isreal was born around 1700. There are many legends about his birth, however, the story is not known exactly.
I'm outta here!
Isreal could not be kept in school by his teachers, and they eventually gave up by the time he was thirteen. He loved the flowers, birds, and sitting by the brook.
At the age of thirteen, Isreal became an assistant schoolmaster, however, he often took the kids to the woods. When he grew older, he became the beadle at the village synagogue. He studied the Kabbalah, rather than the Talmud, but in secret, as it was forbidden to study the Kabbalah.
Although Isreal's first wife died, he learned to love again in the arms of Hannah. Hannah's father died shortly after promising Hannah to Isreal, and her brother, the village Rabbi, disapproved of the marriage, and banished them from the village.
Isreal and Hannah move to the Carpathian Mountains. Isreal spends most of his time meditating and starts to gain a following of his religious views. This becomes the Hisidic sect of Judaism.
Hannah's brother invites her and Isreal back to the village. They travel and Isreal continues to spread his ideas, and becomes known as the Ba'al Shem Tov, and eventually, the Besht. Hasidism spreads throughout Europe and they live happily ever after :)
