  • The French built Fort Duquesne on the Ohio river, which angered Robert Dinwiddie, the governor of Virginia.
  • The French and Indians ambushed the British and killed Broddock. George Washington led a skillful British retreat.
  • In 1758 and 1759, the shipping routes were from France to the Americas was cut off by the British. With lack of equipment, the British took Fort Duquesne.
  • The Treaty of Paris was signed after the French left North America and the British got most of their land.
  • After the war, the British suffered casualties and lost a lot of money. The British imposed heavy taxes on the colonies
  • Benjamin Franklin drawling his comic, the Albany Plan of Union, that ultimately failed.
