- When she got home, she changed her pants, and saw that there was inflammation in her knee. This was caused by the bacteria getting in the wound.
- Although Jamie did not know what was going on with her knee. Her immune system was working hard to bring it back to its original shape.
- Since her knee was inflamed, the macrophages in her body served as scavengers to remove dead cells and cellular debris.
- The T-cells and killer T-cells produce interleukin and tumor necrosis which further intensify the defense response of the immune system.

- A few days later, Jamie's wound started to heal and formed a scab. This was formed by the b cells, which produce antibodies to damaged tissue and engage in the process of wound healing.
