  • When she got home, she changed her pants, and saw that there was inflammation in her knee. This was caused by the bacteria getting in the wound.
  • Although Jamie did not know what was going on with her knee. Her immune system was working hard to bring it back to its original shape.
  • Since her knee was inflamed, the macrophages in her body served as scavengers to remove dead cells and cellular debris.
