- Exposition:Private First Class Berlin (Berlin) and rest of platoon move deeper into the woods, it his first day and he's clearly upset.
- Conflict: Berlin regrets not knowing how to fight fear, he start counting and talking to self to pass time.
- Rising Action: Berlin has flashbacks of Billy, a soldier who died of a heart attack not far into the mission. He wonders what will happen to him.
- Climax: Berlin, after having a nice chat with someone named Toby, starts falling into a mad laughter, which puts everyone in danger.
- Falling Action:Toby manages to calm Berlin down..and informs him that its O.K, aslong as it dont happen again.
- Resolution: Berlin and squad continue the mission..
