Romeo and Juliet are 'two star crossed lovers' in Verona, who struggle to be with each other because their families. The Montagues and the Capulets hate each other and are in a feud.
Romeo and Juliet secretly marry each other with the help of Friar Laurence. They hope that the marriage will end the feud between the families.
Tybalt wants to duel Romeo for crashing the Capulets' party but Romeo refuses and instead, Mercutio accepts the duel. Mercutio dies and then Romeo kills Tybalt. Then Romeo is exiled from Verona on the orders of Prince Escalus.
Lord Capulet agrees for Paris to marry Juliet. She refuses and visits Friar Laurence for help. He offers her a potion that would put her in a deathlike coma. Friar Laurence promises to send a messenger to tell Romeo about the plan.
The messenger does not reach Romeo. Instead, he thought Juliet was really dead and goes to the family crypt with poison. He finds Paris there. Paris sees Romeo and fights him, leading to Romeo killing him. Still believing Juliet be dead, Romeo drinks the poison, killing himself.
Juliet then awakens and discovers that Romeo is dead. Wanting join him in death, Juliet uses Romeo's dagger and stabs herself. Both families, along with the Prince, meet at the tomb to discover Romeo, Juliet and Paris dead. Friar Laurence is the only one who knows the whole story. The death of Romeo and Juliet ended the fued of the two families.
