Montag begins to become aggravated as he realizes the ignorance and lack of curiosity society has forced upon many, including these women
"Montag." A whisper.
"Leave me alone!" Montag felt himself turning in a great circling roar and buzz and hum.
"Ladies, once a year, every fireman's allowed to bring one book home, from the old days, to show his family how silly it all was, how nervous that sort of thing can make you... isn't that right, darling?"
At Fabers urging, Montag dials down his emotions and attempts to cover his mistake
