The Presidencies of Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and Madison
Hey, Washington, how are you going to go about your presidency?
Well, seeing that I'm the first one to do so, I will have to try out certain techniques before I will know what works.
John, what's the matter with our foreign relations with France?
You must be speaking of the XYZ Affair. This started when France captured some US aircrafts, so I sent group to settle the disputes, but the French foreign minister kept delaying negotiations. At this same time, three French emissaries known as X, Y, and Z asked the US to pay a bribe, but we didn't do it.
Mr. Jefferson, I just wanna congratulate you on the Louisiana Purchase. What a deal!
Thank you, good sir. I was quite surprised that i could get 828,000 square miles of land from the French for just 7.36 cents each, too.
James, it had to have been quite tough to deal with the first war of the United States.
Oh, yes, the War of 1812 against Britain. That was definitely a test of our unity, and although it was a draw, it brought us closer together as a nation.
