In the first year when Lydia moved to New Zealand, her aunt had given her two golf club to played , she play very well. So Lydia's mom found a coach to improve her ball skill.
When Lydia was seven years old she competing in New Zealand amateur championship, and that was a really amazing.
At 15 Lydia become the most youngest winner on the LPGA. In 2013, Lydia become the most youngest golf player in the history to win the New Zealand women's open competition.
Because Lydia won LPGA amateur champions all the time, the LPGA waived its age limit of 18 to let, the 16-year-old Lydia to join the professional tour. When Lydia was 18 she won the competition in France, she is the youngest women to win the major championship. On the Rio Olympics golf silver medal and was named young New Zealander of this year.
Lydia is a role model for young women in NZ because she shows us to work hard, to never give up and to break stereotypes that stop you from achieving your dreams.
