Hello! My name is Divya and I am the proud owner of the Gupta farm Business!
I live in India therefore we are focused on a wet rice dominant agriculture region. It is a rain forest climate with rain all months which helps rice grow in that environment efficiently. Crops that are not grown are grapes, beans, and pumpkins.
Our agriculture region compares with the commercial region because here, in India, we mainly focuses on making enough money to feed our family. While in commercial farming (found is U.S) are focused to make a huge profit for business growth.
We can also compare ours to the not wet rice dominant region because we are both not commercial, intensive farms that both use a lot of labor and money.
Divya faces challenges such as drought!
The best environment in order for rice to grow in has to be wet and flat lands. Once there has not been enough rain, the land starts to dry out leaving the rice with no water to help grow.
The accumulation of toxic substances due to poor soil conditions can severely damage the rice.
Poor drainage of toxic substances can hurt the soil and strip away its nutrients needed for the rice to grow.
Rice increases the worlds food supply because it is easy to grow in bigger scales, but it also has a high demand.
Certain seeds are needed to plant rice and sometimes there might be a delay in important those goods.
