After the war the British could see that the Natives were mad. They knew that the Natives were a threat to them so they decided to give them land west of the Appalachian Mountains to please them. As you can see the colonists were not happy with this new law.
NO MORE TAX!!!!!!!!
What are we going to do about the Tea Act?
When the British won the war they also went into debt even larger than before so they needed a way to make some money. So they decided to tax the colonists, by taxing all paper products with a certified British stamp.
Boston Tea Party
Although the exact thing that happened on this day was unsure whether this was purposely, or in the heat of the moment, colonists died due from gun wounds dealt from British soldiers.
Coercive / Intolerable Acts
-The Boston Port Act - Closed all the ports of the Americans until they payed back the money from the tea they had destroyed-Massachusetts Government Act - The townspeople could only meet under supervision from the Governor. This made sure they didn't rule themselves, and also all the government officials had to be British-Administration of Justice Act - When a British official committed a crime they were sent to England for the trial. This basically let the officials get away with murder.-The Quatering Act - This Act forced the American colonists to open their homes so that the British officials coul go in the colonists home when ever they wanted.
The British made a lot of money from the Americans from tea. The Americans were only allowed to the buy tea from a British Company. The British decided then to tax the Americans of the tea they bought. This was called the Tea Act.
Refuse the pay the tax!!!!
We should sabotage their tea ships!!!
They will regret this law...
Some of the colonists dressed up as Natives to try and disguise their selves. They then proceeded to dump all of the tea on the British boat overboard.
The Coercive Acts are a series of laws that the British passed. The Americans called these laws/acts the Intolerable acts because they thought that the laws were unbearable.
