  • Around 58 B.c., the civil wars had been going around Rome since the Punic Wars ended. One day a war general Julius Caesar conquered Gaul and lead his troops into Rome, and became a dictator of Rome for life.
  • Howdy everybody, it is me Julius Caesar. Right now this second I will stop the civil war and become Rome's dictator!
  • I win!:D
  • After Julius Caesar became dictator he made some improvements to Rome by fixing the Roman calendar, he gave grain and land to the poor, he put more people into the Senate, and granted citizenship to foreigners.
  • I am Augustus now.-Octavian 31 B.C.
  • Guess what soldier of mine, I decided as dictator to fix our calendar, give land and grain to the poor, put more people in Senate, and give more people citizenship.
  • In 44 B.C. on March 15 Julius Caesar was surrounded by his enemies and was killed at the Senate building with a knife.So in the way, Julius Caesar lost all his power as a dictator cause he died.
  • Well great....Oof.
  • After Octavian defeated  Caesar's killers him and one of the generals Antony had the Roman world to themselves. However they came into conflict when Antony fell in loveand sided with Cleopatra the Egyptian Queen. Octavian told the Romans Antony would make himself the ruler of the republic which alarmed the government so they joined Octavian in a war against them and crushed them. After that Octavian had the power to himself, and became Rome's Emperor.
  • After the war with Antony Octavian was renamed Augustus ,"honored one" and became Rome's emperor. He wouldreformed the government, reorganize the empire, and createa permanent army and navy. All just after his victory .
