King Minos want to have a palace built so he asked Daedalus to build him one. So of course Daedalus built him a palace.
Once it was finished Daedalus asked King Minos why he need a chamber with a maze and when he found out it was to hold a half human half beast creature he wanted to leave Crete as soon as possible. Yet, King Minos was not letting that happen he had him and his son Icarus locked up.
As time went by, Daedalus had came up with a plan to escape. He would create a pair of wings and fly out of the palace, when he finished them he told Icarus his plan. He applied hot wax to keep the wings of and told Icarus to not fly to close to the son.
Ircarus flew to close to the sun to close to the sun and the wax that was being used to hold the wings on began to melt. Ircuas began to fall from the sky and towards the ocean as the wings slowly fell down.
And no birds tried to or managed to catch him and all his father could do was watch him fall.
All that was left of Ircarus was a pile of feather when he hit the water.
