Storyboard Text

  • Mitosis storyboard by Ben McGinn
  • hey, have you ever heard of mitosis?
  • No, can you tell me about it?
  • first, there is interphase where a parent cell grows to a mature size and it replicates its DNA.
  •  second there is prophase, this is when the spindle fibers grow and the chromatin condenses into chromosomes.
  • forth is anaphase, this is when the chromosomes are split into chromotids and brought to opposite sides of the cell.
  • third is metaphase, this is when the chromosomes line up in the center of the cell and the spindle fibers connect to the centromeres of the chromosome.
  • fifth is telophase, this is when the parent cell starts to split into the 2 daughter cells.
  • finally there is cytokinesis, this is when the cell has fully divided and now has become 2 daughter cells.
  • Your welcome.
  • thanks for showing me the process for mitosis!
