Hello! My name is Allie Brooks and I am a dietitian/nutritionist!I work at my own office, but sometimes I go to cafeterias and hospitals to teach people about healthy eating!
I normally work from 9-5, Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week.
I earn about $63,700 each year. The demand for my occupation is a 16% increase by 2024.
In order to become a dietitian/nutritionist, I had to get a RDN ( Registered dietitian nutritionist) Certification, along with a bachelor's degree in a related field (ex. nutrition science),the completion of an accredited nutrition curriculum, an extensive supervised program or practice, and a registration exam.

The responsibilities of a nutritionist or dietitian include: Meeting with patients to discus healthy eating, grocery shopping with patients to help them make healthy eating choices, teaching cooking classes that inspire people to make healthy dishes on their own, and educating people on the importance of physical health
I love being a dietitian/nutritionist! It is a great career in the diagnostic career pathway!
As a nutritionist or dietitian I use cooking tools such as ovens and blenders to do my work. I also use scales and fitness trackers to evalutate my patients health. To educate them on healthy eating, I use tools such as podcasts, posters, and models.
