I believe people should have right to free speech and religious freedom. Capital punishment is not okay.

Role of the Press
Taxes are being raised?!
France at the time had been facing financial crisis in the 1780s because of the 7 years war they had been involved with before the French Revolution. The royal family and the French court did little to help with the debt. This, mixed with unfair taxes among the estates led to a poor condition in the country.
Role of the Women
We want rights!
During the revolution, certain thinkers called enlightenment thinkers came up with new ideas for France's government system. For example, splitting up the power in the government or not letting just one person have absolute power. Unfortunately most of these ideas never made it.
Role of the Mob Mentality
The press during the revolution served as a political culture messenger to the public. They publicized many speeches, and led awareness to government proceedings.
During the time, women had no rights. They could not vote, and were considered little citizens that relied on men for government decisions. This led to the Women's March in Versailles, in which women had been questioning their rights in France.
Mob Mentality is the idea that people can be influenced by their peers to adopt their behaviors. During the revolution, this led to the storming of the Bastille which was when mobs had invaded the Bastille in order to gain gunpowder which they needed.
