Storyboard Text

  • Watson,  I must ask you a question.
  • What is it, M'lady?
  • Wars are fought for survival or advantage.
  • Why do we fight,  even though we all yearn for peace?
  • We fight for our people, but at the expense of others. We have peace, yet at a cost.
  • You have forgotten about our nature, M'lady. We do not stop fighting out of fear of our deaths, nor will our greed let us in search of prosperity.
  • A vicious cycle that we will not break, nor can we mend it.
  • So why do we all not join under one flag, so we would not need to fight?
  • Unfortunately, you are correct, for the most part. War is as ubiquitous as it is tragic. We are in a world of madness, but in it there is a silver lining.
  • So we fight for ourselves, yet to no end?
  • What could there possibly be good about that?
  • Those who do not fight are doomed, so people fight for them, for their own reasons. I fight for my family, but what about you?
  • Do you fight for the expansion of your empire, or for its preservation?
  • I fight for the people and their safety!
  • So you fight for thousands of innocent lives, even if they have nothing to offer. If you do not fight for a good cause, then I know no one who does.
