  • She had come to america in 1949 after losing everything in china, her parents, her husband, and even her 2 twin baby girls. But she never had any regret. There were so much more chances for things to get better.
  • When they arrive to america, Jing-Mei mom trys to convince her to be a child prodigy, but Jing-Mei didn´t want to become a child prodigy.
  • All though Jing-Mei didńt want to become a prodigy, her mother made her. Her mother singed her up for piano lessons with Mr. Chong for free, by cleaning Mr. Chongś house. Jing- Mei also has a recidal sheś practicing for.
  • The recidal came around, and it was finally her turn! As she started playing she was going great! But a little bit after she kept on hitting the wrong notes, it just got worse form there. She began to cry because she was so imbraressed.
  • Many years later, her mother passed away and gave her the piano so she perfectly contented and she realizes how to it relates to her life now compared to when she was a child.
