  •  In the Line of Fire
  • Training for War
  • What's Love Got to Do with It?
  • In the first chapter SSG Lulofs and his dog Aaslan begins his journey in Iraq.  Joining him in Iraq are more handlers, and dogs with them.  They do basic training and their fist missions and start to get used to the harse living and threats of attack.
  • The Fallen
  • In the chapter "training for War" Taint, the dog, was a problem dog. The only handler that he let do anything with was the dog handler Jakubin.  Jakubin had another dog after Taint's death named Mack, who he says is the reincarnation of Taint.
  • More Dogs on Duty
  • If you are to affectionate to your dog, it will think that it is a pet when it is to be serving in the military, and not as a pet.  SSG Pascual had gotten to be the handler of Mack.  Dog handler Whittaker and his dog Anex got into a firefight, and Anex was wouned and had to be flown out on a medical helicopter.
  • What Happens When Wars End
  • Many dogs and handlers had been KIA.  Some dogs were killed and handlers left without dogs, and some handlers were killed making their dogs without their partners, leaving them with other handlers, or a kennel.  One dog and handler in particular, The dogs handler died, and the dog was put into care of a handler who's dog was KIA.
  • After dogs were started to be used in the military, They were being trained for state wide use.  Dogs would be trained for helping police find missing people or subject.  Other dogs would be trained to help firefighter with searching buildings, and finding people.
  • After Vietnam, the army had gotten rid of its dogs programs, and it was a mistake.  After the attacks of 9/11, and the war in Iraq began, dogs were started to be used again in checkpoints, and soon as IED sniffers.  The army will never drop the dog program again, as they will always be needed.
