Not sure if I'm ready for this whole Czar thing...
Russia in WW1
Don't let him get away!
The Romanov Dynasty had been the ruling family of the Russian Autocratic government for over 306 years, ending in 1917.
Impact of Rasputin
Czar Nicolas 2 was unprepared for his time as Czar, as he spent much of his early years as a playboy. His rule began in 1884, and ended in 1917, with the end of the dynasty itself.
Russia faced massive failure during the first World War, owing to Nicolas' failures as a leader, a lack of supplies, and poorly trained soldiers. These failures would lead to the people furthering losing trust in Nicolas.
Bolsheviks win Civil War
Rasputin posed as a "holy man", and claimed that Alexis, Nicolas' only son, would survive his injuries. Because his guess was correct, Rasputin was given power and prestige, creating greater distrust of the Romanov Dynasty.
The kid'll be FINE, trust me!
Vladmir Lenin, with his cronies Kerensky and Trotsky, begin a communist revolution, using the power of the Bolshevik party to overthrow the Romanov Autocracy. They would assasinate Rasputin in December, 1916.
MY PROMISE TO YOU ALL IS THIS: PEACE, LAND, AND BREAD!!
Following the March, and later November, revolutions, a civil war broke out, between Vladmir Lenin's Red Army of Bolsheviks, versus white armies of counter-socialists. Lenin would win, and the Romanov's would be executed in July of 1918.
No! With our loss, the communists will rule Russia for 80 years!
