  • Chapter 1: Green light. The green light represents Gatsby's hopes and dreams to be with daisy.
  • Chapter 2: Eyes of Dr. T.J Eckleburg. The eyes of Dr. T.J Eckleburg are a symbol of God's eye watching everything people do. 
  • Chapter 3: Gatsby's parties. Gatsby's house parties are a symbol of him trying to impress Daisy. 
  • Chapter 3: Gatsby's house. Gatsby's house represents his mind and how he feels. 
  • Chapter 7: Gatsby's yellow car. Gatsby's yellow car is a symbol for the heartache he is about to take when we takes the fall for Daisy's crimes. 
  • Chapter 8: Daisy's letter. Daisy's letter to Gatsby that she did not want to wait for him to return from the war was a symbol on how she never truly loved him but she was self centered and only cared about herself.
