Storyboard Text

  • Fear & Suspicion are Destructive Forces
  • The kid is the alien
  • It's the book
  • In the story " The Monsters are due on Maple Street" by Tod Sterling there are monsters trying to destroy one an other because they can not trust each other.  In the theme I chose it was about fear and suspicion and how both are destructive forces that can lead to bad things.  In my first evidence I said an example from the text and my evidence supports the theme because  the car turned on by itself people where scared & suspicious which then caused them to blame Les Goodman.   For my evidence on number 2  Tommy knew about about the comic book & came up with a theory people suspected he was guilty.  For my 3rd piece I said since nobody had seen Steve's radio they all amused that he was communicating with the aliens through it.
  • "It just turned on all by itself.  He wasn't anywhere near it.  It had just started by itself."
  • "It...it's the kid. He's the one who knew what was going to happen.  He.. he knew from the comic book."
  • "What about Steve's radio, he's the one who called them."
