Storyboard Text

  • Plants take in that carbon dioxide and use it for photosynthesis.
  • Carbon Dioxide is in the air as a result of combustion of fossil fuels.
  • Soil absorbs the carbon in the leaves that the plant shed.
  • It rains, and the water soaks up the carbon in the ground and then brings it back to the atmosphere when that water evaporates.
  • The carbon is absorbed by the water from the atmosphere when it rains.
  • Plants absorb carbon dioxide from the water and from the air (where the water evaporated). They then release oxygen.
  • Humans and animals inhale the oxygen and then exhale carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere, and the cycle starts again.
