The March on Versailles
The third estate locked themselves into the tennis court room and made a pledge to never separate until they had made their own constitution 1791. They called themselves the National Assembly.
The Reign of Terror
On July 14, 1789, a lot of angry citizens marched to a prison and wanted to speak to the king to see if they could get fairer laws and taxes. They wanted a revolution.

Let us speak to the King!
After the king and queen were beheaded a man named Robespierre took over. He set up a Guillotine in the town square. After his reign of terror the rest of the country set up a republic.
Send him to the guillotine!!
I didn't even do anything!
After the reign of terror a man named Napoleon led the army and had a lot of military success. He soon after became the Emperor. He made some poor military decisions, though, and then was taken back put of power along with other reforms.
