  • Then he sold the land to Mrs Hammond. Later Mrs Hammond sold it to Peter Brown.
  • On the 136 acres of land, Peter Brown built his house. Sadly it was burned down in a fire in 1930.

  • In the 1900's holiday makers began to travel to Browns Bay. Peter and his wife Mary, provided accommodation at their resistance.
  • Browns Bay transformed into a suburb instead of the beach resort it once was. Browns Bay is connected to the city of Auckland and hasn't stopped growing since.
