- If we have a circumference of 20.724. How do we find the area, diameter and radius?
- To find the diameter you have to do 20.724 divided by 3.14 and you will get 6.6. To find the radius you take your diameter of 6.6 and divide it by 2 and get 3.3.
- To find the area you take your radius of 3.3 and do it to to the second power and you will get 10.89. Then you take 10.89 and times it by 3.14 and get 34.2 if you round it.
- Great job. Now what do we do if we have a diameter of 8.9?
- To find the radius you will do 8.9 divided by 2 and you will get 4.45. To find the circumference you will do 8.9 multiplied by 3.14 and get 27.9 if you round it.
- To find the area you will have to take your radius of 4.45 and do it to the second power and you will get 19.8025. Then you do 19.8025 multiplied by 3.14 and get 62.2 when you round it.
