Tell Tale Heart Christian Miller Mr. Haws CP English 5 26 October 2018
An old man, and a so called "mad-man" living under the same roof. The old man had a white, silky eye which drove the mad-man insane.
Every night, the mad-man would sneak into the old man's room to try and catch a glimpse of the eye. Until one night, the mad man made the smallest of noises, and alerted the old man.
" Yes, he was stone, stone dead. I placed my hand upon the heart and held it there many minutes. There was no pulsation. He was stone dead. His eve would trouble me no more."
The police show up, however the mad-man very carefully and discretely hid the body under the exact floorboards they're standing on, and cleaned up every spot of blood that was left from the corpse. They had no idea anything was amiss.
"Villains!" I shrieked, "dissemble no more! I admit the deed! --tear up the planks! here, here! --It is the beating of his hideous heart!"
