  • Boomtowns/Mining
  • Anybody down there?
  • Chunks of 160 acres of land were given to settlers going to the west. The land was given to them on one condition, they had to work the land and make it better. Most homesteaders started ranching to help improve the land.

  • Tourism
  • I can't wait to see New Mexico and all the cool things there!

  • Wild West
  • Alright Pinhead, your time is up.
  • Who are you calling Pinhead.
  • Harvey Houses were small restaurants and hotels that sprouted up all along the Santa Fe Trail. They provided a meal and shelter for settlers to rest on their way to the west.
  • After the boom of the wealth and economy in the west people started to flood to the west. Tourism blew up and people who gave stays and food to tourists got rich.
  • Me Neither!!
  • The Wild West was the parts of the west that thrived with violence, guns, death, and crime. This mostly came from people who tried to steal cattle from ranchers. This is why Cowboys became a thing because they had to protect their cattle from outlaws.
