  • At the Battle of Saratoga, the Patriots won. France saw that the Patriots might actually have a chance, so they decided to help them. This was a turning point of the war. 
  • How Was Foreign Aid Helpful? Who Contributed?
  • Valley Forge is important because that was were the soldiers would stay, and they were starving, and cold. Then, the would eat bad food, until Ludwick came.
  • How Did War Affect Families?
  • Thomas Paine was someone who wrote, and he was a Patriot. He published the American crisis.
  • How Were Loyalists Treated in the Colonies?
  • Foreign aid was helpful because they brought new ideas, and they could persuade the other country to pay for them. Some foreign helpers were Edward Hand, Juan de Miralles, and more!
  • War affected families by the wives having to do all of the work, and the children couldn't see their dad. It was hard on the families.
  • Loyalists were promised prosperity, and longevity if they supported England, and they did. They were treated well.
