  • Hi, I am an Atmospheric Scientist. I am here to tell you all about my job. I spend my days researching the weather and climate changes, and how those conditions affect human activity and the earth in general.
  • To be an Atmospheric Scientist, you are going to have to be persistent, and well educated. Speaking of education, you will need a bachelors degree in meteorology or a related field. This will take about 4 years of education from a university like UNC, or UNT.
  • Atmospheric Scientist jobs are expected to grow 9% in the next 10 years. This is faster than average. Starting pay is 50k, pay after 5-10 years is 100k, and pay after 10-20 years is 140k. We work inside in weather stations, offices, or laboratories.
