I'm George Washington carver a botanist scientist. I was born and raised in slavery on a cotton farm as that was very popular at the time my mom taught me about plants.
I was interested in plants because, my mom would teach me about plants when I was sick to keep me happy.
I created over 100 products using one crop the peanut including dyes, plastics and gasoline.
I was also the first African American to go to Iowa state. Once I got my degree their I became a teacher at a all black college called (Tuskegee Institute).
I also the person who convinced farmers to change plants so that cotton wouldn't take away all nitrogen.
Carver took a bad fall down a flight of stairs he was found unconscious by a maid who took him to a hospital. Carver died January 5 1943, at the age of 78 from complications anemia resulting from this fall.
