  • Dwight Gooden was a star baseball player for the Mets. He was a key play in the MLB history.
  • He became one of the most dominant pitchers in league history. He was a three time World Series Champion, in 1984 NL Rookie of the Year, 1985 NL Cy Young Winner, and a four time all star.
  • Underconformity because he used drugs while his baseball career was going on which is dirty and cheating.
  • Gooden tested positive for cocaine in 1987 and then entered a rehab facility. His pitching stats started to decline. Then he tested positive for cocaine twice in the span of 1994-1995, so he got suspended for the entire 1995 season.
  • The famed pitcher was picked up June 7 by police in Holmdel Township in New Jersey. where Gooden burst on the scene in 1984 and won the National League Rookie of the Year Award. Gooden was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence.
