  • The 16th Amendment
  • Finally! We have enough money to improve our nation!
  • Where is all of my money going?
  • The 18th Amendment
  • You got the goods??
  • Yea, you got the money???
  • The 19th Amendment
  • OMG! I'm so happy and excited, we are finally equal!
  • OMG!!!
  • You are now granted the right to vote!
  • The 16th amendment allows the federal government to create a direct income tax; the govt does not need to apportion it to states based on population. This example shows that the government is now taxing the people to help out the nation. The government is happy that we finally have enough money, but the people are upset because they are losing income.
  • The 18th amendment forbids the manufacture, sale, or transportation of alcohol. The example shows a citizen purchasing alcohol from a sketchy person. The 18th amendment does not allow him to legally purchase alcohol, but he is still allowed to consume it, so he is purchasing it in private from a random person oon the street.
  • The 19th amendment grants women the right to vote. This ensures that the government cannot prevent any gender from voting. In this example, you can see that the women are excited and happy that they are equal to every race and gender.
