Make an example of irony from a tell-tale heart in each cell.
Come on in.
Sit down. Make yourself comfortable.
This is an example of dramatic irony because the reader knows that the narrator killed the old man, but the police don't know that.
This is an example of situational irony because the narrator does what the reader does not expect. The narrator is nice to the cops even though he just killed a person. What would normally happen is the narrator would be very nervous, but he was welcome and acepting to the police.
This is an example of verbal irony because the narrator is saying that he is being very careful, but in reality, he is not even trying. He is able to wake the old man even though the man is blind. This proves that he was being very loud since the old man would only be able to hear the narrator.
