Later in the war, America Responded to Japans attack of Pearl Harbor. America went to the location where the Japanese were supposed to attack but they couldn't stop it. Japanese soldiers killed over 600 Americans and this was called Bataan Death Match. There were more wars between Japan and America after that.
Allied war planners prepared an attack on Japan. They created a secret new project and wanted to develop and atomic bomb. It would produce a lot of power and take out most of the enemy troops. The idea was tossed back and fourth and finally President Truman gave an order to use it. In August 6, 1945 the atomic bomb was dropped and killed over 80,000 people instantly.
After that attack the Japanese offered surrender in August 15, 1945. More than 50 million people were killed and millions of people were left without food, shelter, and water.Most of the responsibility to postwar rebuild was left on the U.S.
