Hi there, worker! I was wondering if I could see Ramesses IX's tomb so I could build my own.
I really hope he doesn't realize it wasn't finished.
Sure! Follow me!
These walls are the outside of the tomb created for Ramesses IX's deceased body as he was a pharaoh after all. The walls along with the tomb were created using metallic tools like copper or bronze picks as well as advanced drills and granite or basalt tools as well.
This is the inside of the temple. Down that ramp is three corridors with each one ending at a dead end. One of them, the second one, would contain the mummy's tomb if it wasn't stolen a few years ago. The first and third hallways are colored with bright colors on black and white background and hold the many treasure the pharaoh would need in the afterlife.
Hopefully he doesn't want to look at the unfinished first and third corridors!
As you can see, this tomb valued Nut as well as the Book of Cavern and the Book of Earth. It also held golden and gemstone encrusted before they were stolen as well.
That's really neat. Hey, can we go see the ends of the first and third corridor as well?
Lots of workers were needed to make the pharaoh's tomb as well. Experienced stone workers were required to create the hallways as well as architects to make sure the tomb was stable and several painters were used to create the drawings on the walls and ceiling. This entire workforce took about 20 years to create the one tomb
