- Our story begins with the grassy lands of Kansas. Look at all of that Carbon!
- 30 years ago, Captain Carbon lived in the grassy plains of Kansas, when plant photosynthesis used Carbon Man and radiant energy to make sugars and proteins and Oxygen all organisms need to survive.

- When plants release oxygen, organisms can use this for cellular respiration, which releases more Carbon Dioxide for plants.
- Captain Carbon provided nutrients to the hungry animals, to ensure that Mr. Cow gets his balanced proteins

- When Mr. Cow dies, his body decomposed deep underground. Carbon Man spent 20 years as an oily layer of protection far below the surface
- But suddenly, a strange drill took Captain Carbon and his friends from the ground. He knew he was no longer able to defend the soils when he was taken to the surface.

- When Carbon Man was Combusted as a fossil fuel to power houses and cities, he was oxidized once again. He regained his ability to fly across the atmosphere as Carbon Dioxide. However, he recognized the detrimental abundance of Carbon Dioxide and how world climate struggled

- Captain Carbon recognized something truly HORRIFYING. With the ginormous amount of Carbon Dioxide being inhaled by organisms, Carbon man knew something was wrong.

- Captain Carbon was flying over the ocean when abundance of Carbon diffused him into the ocean, where Captain Carbon was inhaled by a lonely fish. It was not long after when the fish by inhaling to much Carbon Dioxide.
- It took a long time for Mr.Fish to reach the bottom of the ocean. When Mr.fish decomposed, he turned into a lump of coal. However, Captain Carbon was released back into the atmosphere as Mr. Fish was decomposing.
