  • Q1. how did the texas legislature help bring an end to "range wars"? the issue was when texas was in a drought in 1883 and the cattle started dying of thirst.ranchers snip the barbed wire.a gainesville farmer had found a note saying "if you don't make gates, well make them for you".
  • Q2. describe what life was/is like in the oil fields. thousands of people came looking for work in the oil industry. farmers were looking for new jobs. a few women and  children lived in theses towns. people were more concerned with dilling than planning.
  • Q3.how was the arrival of rail lines in texas important to farmers. railroads brought rapied expansion of people,business, and cities across the state. ranching wasn't the only industry with a major impact on the texas economy during the late 1800s.
