"Lennie!" he said sharply. "Lennie, for God' sakes don't drink too much." Lennie continued to snort into the pool. The small man leaned over and shook him by the shoulder. "Lennie. You gonna be sick like you was last night." This shows that Lennie doesn't listen because George was talking to him and he was just doing what he wanted instead of listening.
"George patted a wrinkle out of his bed, and sat down. "Give the stable buck hell?" he asked. This shows that George wants everything to be his way. He is very paticular and judgemental.
"The old man put the yellow can in his pocket, and he rubbed his bristly white whiskers with his knuckles." This shows that the old swamper does not really care about anything, but he knows about everyone and everything that has happened there in the bunk.
"Don't tell Curley I said none of this. He'd slough me. He just don't give a damn. Won't ever get canned' cause his old man's the boss." This means that Curley is rude and thinks he deserves everything because of his father.
"She smiled archely and twitched her body. "Nobody can't blame a person for lookin'," she said. Curley's wife seems to flirt around with other guys and she seems very preppy.
"When he had finished combing his hair he moved into the room, and he moved with a majesty only achieved by royalty and master craftsmen." Slim is very professional and has a unique personality. He wants everything to be done in his way.
