To cope with my stress, I take some time to draw anything that comes to mind. This helps me relax, empty my mind, and feel better.
Tests and Exams
I feel distress. I begin to worry, procrastinate, and overwork myself. I cannot spend time on things I enjoy because I must worry about the test or exam. Plus, the test affects my grades a lot which makes me more distressed.
I also feel eustress. I study, review, and learn as much as I can to be prepared for the test or exam.
Stressors I deal with are tests and exams. This stressor makes me feel distress and eustress. I feel distressed because tests and exams affect my grades a lot, so I have to be prepared. However, this causes me to procrastinate to try and not think about the test. By procrastinating, I am making myself worried about how prepared I am for the test, and in turn, I overwork myself. On the other hand, I can also feel eustress about tests and exams because the energy the stress gives me allows me to spend my time studying and getting prepared for the test.
When I need a break from my stress, I draw anything that comes to mind on a piece of paper to relax and clear my thoughts. This helps me tackle my stress about tests and exams in a better way when I need to face it again.
