Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • It is the year 2081. George had handicaps that limit his physical and mental achievements. His wife Hazel is already average, so she has no handicaps.
  • Falling Action
  • Harrison Bergeron escapes from jail. Calls himself the emperor.  His empress is a ballerina.
  • Resolution
  • Diana (handicapper general) shot Harrison Bergeron and his empress.
  • Literary Device- Foreshadowing
  • If I take them off I can be punished by the government.
  • Diana makes everyone put their handicaps back on and everything goes back to "normal".
  • Hazel doesn't remember that her son was murdered and George never knew. All she remembers is that there was something sad on tv.
  • The author used foreshadowing to show that something was going to happen since Harrison had escaped. This affected the story because the author lead us into the idea that something was going to happen when they told about how Harrison was dangerous and if anyone broke the law they would be punished which lead to Harrison being shot.
  • Harrison Bergeron is very dangerous! Look out for him!
