Storyboard Text

  • I pay thy poverty and not thy will.
  • Put this in any liquid thing you will and drink it off; and if you had the strength Of twenty men, it would dispatch you straight.
  • I could not send it—here it is again— Nor get a messenger to bring it thee, So fearful were they of infection.
  • Unhappy fortune! By my brotherhood, the letter was not nice but full of charge
  • Yet put it out, for I would not be seen. Under yon yew trees lay thee all along, Holding thine ear close to the hollow ground— So shall no foot upon the churchyard tread,
  • Romeo hears of Juliet's death and decides to take his own life. He goes to a merchant and buys a potion of apothecary, to join Juliet in death.
  • Oh, I am slain! If thou be merciful, Open the tomb. Lay me with Juliet.
  • Friar John meets with Friar Laurence, and explains to him that he was unable to give Romeo the letter. He then plans to send another letter to Romeo, and wait with Juliet in his cell for Romeo.
  • Paris goes to Juliet's grave to weep for her, when he gets there he tells his Page to act as a look-out. His Page whistles for him and Paris Hides to see who is coming.
  • As rich shall Romeo’s by his lady’s lie,
  • But I can give thee more, For I will raise her statue in pure gold,
  • Romeo gives Balthazar a letter and tells him to give it to his father. He starts to open the Tomb and Paris comes out to arrest him, they fight and Paris falls. As he is dying he asks Romeo to put him next to Juliet.
  • In faith, I will.—Let me peruse this face.
  • Romeo puts Paris' body in the tomb, takes the poison and dies. Then Friar Laurence comes in and finds Paris and Romeo dead. Juliet then awakes, the Friar attempts to persuade her to run away with him, but fearful of being caught by the Night Watchmen, he runs. Juliet then killed herself with Romeo's dagger.
  • Paris' Page brings the watchmen to the grave-site, where they find Balthazar and the Friar. The Prince Lord and Lady Capulet and Lord Montague arrive and hear the story from the Friar which is then confirmed by the others and the letter. Both Lords then promise to build a golden statue of the other's child.
