Co2 begins in atmosphere along with oxygen. A tree in the distance is attracting the carbon molecule.
A tree uses the carbon molecule to create glucose during photosynthesis.
Tree dies and Co2 turns into fossil fuels then eaten by decomposers which then released it back into the atmosphere.
The carbon atmosphere dissolves into Co2 in the surface of the ocean.
Co2 from the surface ocean is used by plants for photosynthesis moving it to the deep ocean.
Over millions of years Co2 in the deep oceans is turned into fossil fuels later being released back into the atmosphere. (2x, most Co2 in the atmosphere stays in the atmosphere.)
