Claudius finds his brother King Hamlet sleeping in the woods and plans to murder him by putting poison in his ear because he wants to be king.
The ghost of King Hamlet shows up to his son Hamlet to tell him what his uncle Claudius did.
Hamlet vows to avenge his father's death by killing his uncle Claudius. King Claudius suspects that Hamlet found out what happened and decides to get rid of him.
Hamlet finds King Claudius praying and decides not to kill him at that time because he would go straight to heaven.
Laertes and Hamlet have a friendly duel. Laertes has poison on his sword in an effort to kill Hamlet. King Claudius also has a poison drink to give to Hamlet during the duel.
Hamlet and Laertes switch swords on accident and Hamlet kills Laertes with his own poisoned sword. Claudius tries to give Hamlet the poisoned drink but he refuses so his mother drinks it and dies. Hamlet stabs Claudius and kills him. Hamlet was also stabbed by the poisoned sword and slowly dies.
