Hello. My name is Jeff and I have just begun my journey with all my other sperm friends. We are just now entering the Vagina. A start to a treacherous journey full of doom. I'm the sperm with the pink head.
Hey you two!,your going in the wrong way!
After swimming through the Vagina, us sperm have to swim up into the cervix, which isn't a very easy task. Those two Y chromosome sperm are going down the wrong path. They will be trapped.
I don't think they can hear us.
Now we are in the danger of the uterus. Acid line the walls & white blood cells attack sperm, and kill them. Just like that poor last Y chromosome sperm.
The sperm enter the vagina, making their way through the cervix. Many sperm die once they get in since the vagina's defense are deadly acids.
ITS A BET!
WE ARE NOW IN THE FALLOPIAN TUBE & WE ARE RESTED! NO TIME TO EXPLAIN.. WANNA SEE WHOS THE BEST?
The sperm then have to climb to the far end of the vagina to reach the cervix. Many are also lost on this journey since there are tens of thousands of passageways that lead sperm to nowhere.
I DID NOT MAKE IT;( GOOD GAME BROTHER!
FINALLY, I WIN!
After the cervix, sperm then swim to the uterus where there are deadly acids and Leukocytes that trap sperm. Their main objective is to find the uterotubal junction.
The sperm then enter the fallopian tube where they can live for days. They are safe from attack and are provided with nutrients.
Finally, the sperm find the egg and fertilise it. Only one sperm may fertilise the egg, the other dies.
The egg then becomes a zygote. After being fertilised, the zygote then stays in the lining of the uterus and beings growing for nine months.
