  • Many kids under the age of 16 worked to help their parents pay rent and put a loaf of bread on the table. Boys would often sell newspapers to wealthy men and shine their shoe
  • With the Industrial Revolution starting up, many factories didn't have a sufficient amount of workers. So, they had resorted to child labor.
  • Many kids were put through several harsh jobs depending on their age. Many grew up to be illiterate adults and ended up with scoliosis.Most children didn't know how to play, all they knew was to work.
