People like architects, scientists, and anyone building something can use the EDP.
Can other people use the engineering design process besides engineers?
Jerry was playing with his teddy bear he was sailing them across the oceans when he realized that he could make his imagination visible by making a sailboat for him.
Sorry to bother you again but why is using the design process a good idea when creating something new?
Jerry's mom then explained that there are 5 main steps to the design process ask, imagine, plan, create, and improve.
Hey, Alexa! What do you do in each design process step?
A few hours later...
Jerrys mom goes on to say the design process is used when you need to find a solution to a problem.
We can finally conquer the seas.
Jerrys mom tells him the Design Process is a good idea when creating something new because it can help to organize your ideas and build something more successful for your project. If you don’t use the DP you might just start building without a plan and your results won’t be successful.
Alexa explained to Jerry that in Ask you find a problem to solve. In Imagine, you brainstorm solutions to the problem. In Plan you design your solution. In Create you test out your solution. And in Improve you make your prototype better.
Jerry worked hard on each individual design process step and finally made Bearington a boat. Sadly for Jerry though Bearington didn't want to be a first mate he wanted to be a captain.
